In 2011 a series of new spaces called "C-cubed Studios - A Center for Collaboration and Creativity" was opened in conjunction with the eMAD program. The new studios represent the shift in digital practice beyond the screen in both programs. See images from the opening celebration here.

Small digitally activated room for discussion/collaboration
The Cloud (Shwayder Art Building, room 222)
Open configurable space for collaboration, discussion, construction, and performance. All tables and chairs on wheels, pull down electrical outlets, gallery track lighting, blackout shades, and lounge spaces.
The Hypercube (Shwayder Art Building, room 225)
Open configurable space for installation and performance. Supports up to 8 projectors, 16x16 digital video matrix switcher, 12 individually addressable speakers, LED DMX controlled lighting, Unistrut grid, and curtains for closing off any of the three open sides.
The Lab (Shwayder Art Building, room 226)
Workspace for e-textiles, electronics experimentation, and DIY 3D printing. Experimentation includes arduinos, lilypads, Makerbot Thing-o-matic, X-bee, and various sensor technologies.
