Digital Imaging by Gregory O'Toole; M.A. DMS We teach on the latest operating systems of both Mac and Windows machines. All of our design classes are taught on Mac. Most of our production courses are taught on Windows machines. Our non-linear video editing systems are Mac (Media 100).

Technical Stats
· one 15-station Windows XP classroom in Sturm Hall 434;
· one 24-7 10-station Windows XP lab in Sturm Hall 211;
· one 15-station Mac classroom and one 12-station Mac lab in the Shwayder Art Building (rooms 216 and 218);
· one 15-station Windows XP lab in Mass Communications 113;
· four Media 100 nonlinear editing suites and two FinalCut Pro/DVD suites in the Mass Communications video production studio;
· one MIDI lab with a dual XP capture/control station, MIDI keyboard controllers for software synthesis, and Mackie 16-channel mixer in Sturm 211;
· one video lab with Mac, SVHS and DV in Sturm 211.

Each lab is equipped with scanners, CD burners, video and audio capture, digital cameras, and high-speed Internet access (10-100 Mb).

Software | We currently run the latest versions and updates of the following:

· 3D Modeling/Animation/Multimedia: Maya, LightWave, Ray Dream, Flash
· Audio Production: SoundForge, Acid Pro, Sonar, Ableton Live, Absynth, Reaktor, Max/MSP
· Video/Motion Graphics Development: AfterEffects, Premiere, Media100, FinalCut Pro, Vegas, Quicktime, MediaCleaner, DVD Architect, DVD Studio
· VJ Productin: Arkaos, Resolume
· Image Production: Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Freehand
· Web Development: Dreamweaver, Flash, ColdFusion, and ASP
